Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time in the land of poor cell phone reception and high priced plans, there lived a very unhappy customer.

As this unhappy customer would roam throughout the land, he would continue to find himself in areas that had very poor cell phone reception or no signal at all. This unhappy customer would often think to himself, why am I paying these high prices every month only to not have cell phone reception when I need it. Also why I’m I paying high roaming charges every month for the service I do get.

These questions’s was left unanswered for many years until the unhappy customer was on his journey and stopped by a local merchant that had become an agent for U.S. Cellular. The friendly merchant told the unhappy customer about the great signal that U.S. Cellular had in the area and about their low priced plans. He also explained to the unhappy customer about the nationwide plan with no roaming charges and the 30 day trial period to check it out. So the unhappy customer decided to give U.S. Cellular a try and let the merchant sign him up for service.

Now after only a few days of having service with U.S. Cellular the unhappy customer knew he had something really special. Now he was getting very good reception wherever he journeyed and without any additional roaming charges. Also whenever he had a question or problem, he could contact U.S. Cellular and they would always provide the very best customer service.

Now the unhappy customer was a very “Happy” U.S. Cellular Customer and has lived “Happily Ever After”!

Home Sweet Home

While taking a trip away from home can sometimes be really fun and exciting, as I get older it seems that I get home sick much quicker. In my lifetime I’ve had to do my fair share of traveling, mostly for business reason but also for visiting friends and family or mere pleasure. It does seems that the more I’ve traveled and been away from home, the less exciting it becomes and the more I find myself wanting to just stay closer to home.

I’m sure there are many others that feels the same way and knows what I’m talking about, but I do have something that makes  me feel a little closer to home while I’m away. It’s my Smartphone from U.S. Cellular. Now wherever I go it is always with me and I can stay in touch in more ways than just talking on the phone. I can keep up with what’s happening at home like the current news & weather, all my social media friends, check my email and find places quick with the build in navigations. Yes my Smartphone makes me feel a little closer to home even when I’m far away, and I’m so glad that I live in a time when all this great technology is available to carry with me wherever I go.

Now I still do get a little home sick while I’m away, but thanks to my U.S. Cellular Smartphone I always feel much closer till I’m “Home Sweet Home” again!

A Need for Speed

As far back as I can remember I’ve always wanted things to go faster. I’m the kind of person that will stand in front of the microwave oven and holler “Hurry Up”! Even when I was a little boy I would try to ride my tricycle as fast as I could get it to go. When I graduated to a bicycle I was always trying to do things to it to get it to go a little faster. I did get it to go a little faster but it did cause me a problem when I hit a bump in the road that sent me sailing into a mailbox. That extra speed did cost me 8 stitches and a whole lot of pain. Now when I was 16 and got my driving license, the need to go a little faster was still in my blood and I ended up getting a speeding ticket within the first month. Again this caused me problems like my parents getting very upset (MAD as HE##) and also the pain of having to spend my money to pay for the ticket. I did learn my lesson well with that episode in my life and I haven’t gotten another ticket since. (Knock on Wood)!

With all that being said I still have a desire for things to be fast. Maybe not as much for things you ride on, but for other things like my cell phone. I am a very techie type guy and I want my electronic devices to do things fast. I have to say that the desire for a very fast cell phone was satisfied last week when I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy 2 from U.S. Cellular. This phone is extremely fast with a dual processor it will run a 3800 + quadrant score right out of the box. Now comparing this to the Samsung Galaxy Mesmerize I had (which I thought was fast), it would only do around 900 quadrants out of the box. That’s over 4 times faster “WOW”! Also I have to include that the Samsung Galaxy 2 is not only very fast, but it is also very smooth. Everything I’ve done on it so far, it has done it quick and smooth without the lag that I sometimes experienced with the Mesmerize.

Ok there you have it! I’ve had some good and bad experiences in my life trying to satisfy my “Need for Speed”, but thanks to Samsung Galaxy 2 and U.S. Cellular, my desire for a super fast cell phone has been satisfied “For Now”!

Man…..I wish the microwave oven would hurry up! “I’m Hungry”!!!!!!

Something to Depend On

It seems like in this fast paced world we all live in and how busy life is for most of us; it seems like there is less and less that we can really depend on. That’s right, with the way the economy been over the last several years it really hard to budget our expenses month to month.

Let’s take fuel and electrical price increases that we all have had over the last few years. Can any of us depend that they will not increase rapidly over the next few years, or even the next few months. Now these two things alone affect so many other things you will no longer be able to depend on, like food, clothes and most all other consumer prices. Most every company or business will need to adjust their prices to offset their cost to do business.

Now with that being said, all hope for something you can depend on is not lost; take for example my cell phone provider U.S. Cellular. I have been a customer with them for eight years now and I must say that there are many things with them I can depend on. Although U.S. Cellular has to deal with all the same cost of doing business as other company’s do, they are always looking for ways to keep their customers happy. Yes with U.S. Cellular I can always depend on great customer service, very competitive pricing, nationwide coverage along with a company that’s always looking for way to make their customer’s the “Happiest Customers in Wireless” along with ways to improve their experience with their company.

Yes there are not as many things today that we can really depend on, but as a U.S. Cellular customer I believe I can depend on them to continue to look for ways to keep me and all their customers “Happy”!
