My Samsung Galaxy Note II Name Is "iBetter"

It’s Official! After using the Samsung Galaxy Note II from U.S. Cellular for a little over two months now I can honestly say it is the best phone I’ve ever used. This phone is simple Amazing, Incredible and Awesome! I have really put it to the test and its had a passing score doing everything without any lag or a hiccup. Also this phone is packed with so many features that I’ve only scratched the surface of using it to its full potential.

Now there are many that think that this phone is just too big with its 5.5 inch screen but I’ve not had any problems adjusting and now believe it would be hard for me to go back to a smaller one. I also believe that most people would feel the same if they tried it out for themselves for a few days. ***But be forewarned, this device is very addictive and it may take some serious therapy before you'll be able to put it down and break the habit****

Since I consider this to be the best Smartphone available in the market today and the best I’ve ever used, I have given mine a name and made my own personal logo for it. I call it “iBetter” the All In One Device and I’ve also included a picture below that I made.

Now I need to decide if I should patented it before someone does or I get sued for a trademark infringement! What do think? lol

Happy Anniversary U.S. Cellular Customer Crew

Last December U.S. Cellular started a new program called “Customer Crew” and started inviting some of their most passionate customers to apply to become a member. So I got an invite and I didn’t waste any time applying. Then a few days later I received an email that I had been accepted and the rest is history.

Now after completing over 60 missions and 500 activities in the first year I can honestly say I really have been having a lot of fun. I so look forward to every new mission that they give us and I’ve been having a blast in completing most of them. Also another great thing about being a U.S. Cellular Customer Crew member is that they reward you for your efforts by giving you reward points that you can use to get some really neat accessories or early phone upgrade. They also have some very cool prizes that will be awarded whenever you reach certain milestone levels. So over the past year now I was able to earn over 40,000 reward points and received many special prizes and gifts all for something that I’ve had lots of fun doing. Now how “Awesome” is that!

So “Happy Anniversary” to the Customer Crew Team and I so look forward to spreading more U.S. Cellular love in 2013.

Now if you also a passionate U.S. Cellular customer and would like to apply to become a Customer Crew Member and start having fun yourself, please follow this link and apply “Today”! https://customercrew.uscellular.com/index.php

An Invitation to the World of Smartphones

One of the latest missions that I received from the U.S. Cellular Social Team was to think of someone who don’t current have or use a Smartphone and try to get them to use one. In order to accomplish this mission they sent me a new Alcatel One Touch Premiere Android Smartphone to give as a gift to that person to give it a try. So please watch the YouTube video (link below) that I made that will tell you who I have chosen to give this gift to and why I think this person will benefit from having a Smartphone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fjmUKs6K3M&feature=plcp

Please...Just Give It a Try

Ok I’ve had several Android Smartphone’s and been using them for several years now. It’s seems with every upgrade I find myself using my PC less and less because I can do almost everything I want do on my phone plus some things I’m not able to do with my PC.
With that being said I’m beginning to wonder why everyone doesn’t have one. Let’s take my Father-in-Law for instance; he really enjoys using Facebook to keep in touch with family and friends. He also does a lot of e-mailing and loves to take photos. He carries one them small Kodak cameras with him everywhere he goes so he’ll have it just in case he wants to take a picture of someone or something. Now he could have all these options if only he would get an Android Smartphone but he still carrying around a flip style cell phone that over 5 years old. I’ve told him that if he’d try out a new Android I thought that he would really like it but he continues to tell me that he don’t want or need a fancy gadget like that. He said he’s content with have a phone only for calling and using his PC and Kodak camera the way he’s doing it now. He is also a U.S. Cellular customer and I’ve told him that he could try one of the new Android’s out for a couple of weeks and if he still didn’t like it he could return it with their 15 day return guarantee, but he still want give it a try.
Well I guess there are always going to be some that are content with doing things the way they’ve been doing thing and not give something new a try. But as for me I just “LOVE” my Android Smartphone and just can’t wait to see what the next future upgrade will do.

NOTE: I’m current sporting the new Samsung Galaxy  Note 2 from U.S. Cellular and this phone is soooo AWESOME!!! You really need to give it a try……. :)

Google Wallet, The Future is Now

“The Future is Now!” At least that’s how I feel with my super amazing Samsung Galaxy S III from U.S. Cellular and all the many features it has.

One of the great features that I’ve been testing out over the past week or so is the NFC (Near Field Communication) along with the Google Wallet app. This allows you to pay for purchases using your phone and is also very secure. Google Wallet purchases can be made at any store or business that has the PayPass payment technology. Many stores and business already has PayPass available and more will be updating to this in near future.

Over the past week I have made 3 purchases using my Samsung Galaxy S III and Google Wallet. One was at a Convenience Store, One to get fuel at a gas pump and another at a fast food restaurant. It was easy, simple and worked flawlessly. I really like using this feature and so look forward when this form of payment is accepted at all stores and businesses.

To learn more about how Google Wallet works just follow the link below and see why I feel that this feature that’s available now is going to be used more and more in the near future.

U.S. Cellular's "Calling All Communities" Campaign

My 5 year old son Luke started Kindergarten this year and he is so excited with all the new things he’s been learning. It really had been a while since my wife and I had a child in elementary school because our next youngest child is now 21. With that being said the point that I would like to address here is the lack of funding that the school system is now trying to run on these days. With all the recent budget cuts from the State and Federal, I believe the school has suffered much. Much more than our great country should let happen. Our children are our future and they need all the best and modern resources to get the best education possible.

Most all the schools are in need of school supplies and are asking the parent and the community to donate as much as possible. I know my wife went shopping when all the “Back to School” sales were going on and bought a lot of extra supplies to donate. Many others have done the same but more is needed.

Now here is something that U.S. Cellular has been doing for several years now that could make a huge contribution to help your child’s school. Each year U.S. Cellular has a campaign called “Calling All Communities” that will award a total of 1 million dollars to 18 (eighteen) different schools. The way this campaign works is that the schools receiving the most votes from September 14 thru October 21st will win a share of the 1 million. There will be 1 (one) $150,000 winner and the next 17 top vote getting schools will receive $50,000 each. Now that kind of money could go long ways in helping any school get some of the supplies they really need. This campaign is open to all K-12 schools, big or small, public or private. So if you still have children in school or would like to help a school in your area, then I would suggest that you go here http://www.uscellular.com/about/community-outreach/calling-all-communities.html and check out all the details and start rallying your favorite school to get started today.

With this great campaign U.S. Cellular is giving back to the community it serves and is making a different for many schools ever year. You can also serve your community and make a different by letting your local schools know about this campaign.

Thank You U.S. Cellular for this wonderful program and this is just another reason why I’m a very happy U.S. Cellular Customer!

Camera Quality On My SGSIII

Ok I know that we all love our Smartphone’s for many different reasons but I want to say that my favorite one is the camera. Although phones have come with the camera for many years now, it has only been with some of the more recent ones that the quality of the photos is truly “Awesome”.
My Samsung Galaxy S III from U.S. Cellular has an 8mp camera that takes pictures that are clearer and sharper than my 10mp Kodak camera. I also like the fact that after I take a picture I can then share it with family and friends or post it to Facebook within second’s right from my phone. It is so great to have this as a feature with my Samsung Galaxy S III and since it’s always with me wherever I go I never miss taking a picture when the right opportunity comes up.

Bigger Bang For The Buck

The majority of us have been affected by the economic downfall that has occurred over the last few years and many of you like me have probable started looking for ways to get a bigger bang for your buck.
Some of the things that my wife and I have started doing are looking for more ways to save on all our purchases. With gas being around $3.50 a gallon I purchased a Honda Hybrid and get around 50 miles a gallon and that is a huge saving every month when you consider I’m in sales and travel 800 to 1000 miles a week. My old vehicle only got about 18 to 20 miles per gallon and with this Hybrid my monthly fuel saving is more than $350. My wife also has been clipping coupons ever week and that alone has been saving us over $200 a month at the grocery store.

Now the couple of things listed above have resulted in our greatest saving but there is another that I would also like to mention that has always been the tops in value. That is our cell phone service with U.S. Cellular. That’s right; U.S. Cellular still offers the best value for the price of any carrier in the market. How so you may ask? Let me start by saying that I depend on my cell phone service for my business and it is very important to stay in touch with my family wherever I may be. And after being with U.S. Cellular for about 9 years I have to say that their service has never let me down. Also with the cost of everything going up with all cell phone carriers U.S. Cellular has always brought more value to the table. Like free incoming calls, text and picture messages. Reward points that can be used to get some great accessories or upgrade your cell phone in as little as 10 months. Reward points can also be used for overage forgiveness if you go over on your monthly plan minutes. Also they offer a one and done contract meaning that after you sign the first 2 year contact that you never have to sign another. Now their customer service is let me say is “Awesome” and they have always provided me with the most professional, friendliest and problem solving service that I have had with any company I’ve ever dealt with. It’s no wonder as to why that U.S. Cellular has won many Customer Service Awards over the years.
Now as I continue to look for ways to save and bring more value for the money I spend during these difficult economic times; I would like to thank U.S. Cellular for continuing to find ways to offer and bring more value to their customer. I do realize that also they face many cost increases and have to make changes to stay in business, but I still believe they offer more for less than the other carriers.

The Amazing Samsung Galaxy S III

My first impression of the Samsung Galaxy S III from U.S. Cellular was that it's an amazingly slim phone with an awesome 4.8" display. The screen quality is so beautiful and the clarity is amazingly sharp and after playing a few games, watching several YouTube videos and even watching a full length movie I downloaded from Samsung Media Hub, I am convinced it has the best screen on the market.
Another feature of this phone that I really like is the S Voice app. You only have to speak commands like, find the closest Mexican restaurant, call Bob Smith, send Teresa Huie a text that I’ll be home at 6pm or driving direction to Washington DC and S Voice will execute it and respond quickly. Now how cool is that!

This phone also has a powerful 8 MP camera takes stunning photos so quickly that you wonder whether it actually took the picture. You can take photos one right after the other, with zero lag time. You can also choose burst mode to take several rapid-fire photos at a time, with the device helping you select the best one. The phone's rear camcorder supports 1080p HD video capture, and it also has a front-facing 1.9 MP camera and 720p HD camcorder. Nearly all of the pictures and videos I took with the Galaxy S III looked amazing.
Also I live in one of U.S. Cellular 4G LTE market areas and all I can says is “WOW” at the super fast data speeds you get with this phone. I’m talking data speeds 10 times faster or more than 3g and faster that my home WiFi.

This is only a few of the many features that this amazing phone has and If you've held off upgrading your phone until something truly awe-inspiring became available, the wait is over. Prepare to be dazzled by what is in my opinion the best smart phone on the market.

Flying High with U.S. Cellular

As most everyone that follows my Blogs or other social media outlets already knows that I’m a very passionate U.S. Cellular Customer and also a member of their Customer Crew Team. I must admit that I’m having a blast being a U.S. Cellular Customer Crew Member and really enjoy doing the missions that they provide for us to do. I’ve just complete a recent mission that I’m sharing on this Blog.
The mission was to make a U.S. Cellular kite and take a photo of me flying it. I thought myself ok; I have never made a kite and always bought it whenever I needed one. But my fear was relieved when my 5 year son said he would help me make the kite. So with his expert advice and help the project was completed and the mission accomplished.

Although I did have a very hard time trying to get this kite to fly (95 degrees & no wind) we both had a great time making it and now he wants to be a U.S. Cellular Customer Crew Member.

Maybe my U.S. Cellular kite isn’t flying very high but I’m still “Flying High” as one of the “Happiest Customer’s in Wireless”! John~U.S. Cellular Customer Crew Member

Celebrating July 4th

Our family had a really nice time celebrating July 4th and I hope everyone else did also. We had a few family members over at our house for a hamburger and hotdog cookout along with some great family fellowship.

To top off the day we also went to see the fireworks show that our town was having at the water front and what a show it was. Thousands of people attended and I’m sure everyone was enjoying the show from all the cheering that was going on throughout the whole event.

I did take a few pictures of the fireworks with my Samsung Galaxy S II from U.S. Cellular and I have included a couple of my favorites. This phone takes some really great photos, even at night.

Spreading the U.S. Cellular Love

It’s been almost 9 years since I started my service with U.S. Cellular and I’ve never looked back. They have provided me with the best signal and coverage in my area along with the very best customer service. Ever since then I have been singing praises to all my co-workers, family and friends. And so far all the ones that have switched have been happy with their service with U.S. Cellular and happy they made the switch.

So back in December of 2011 when U.S. Cellular asked if I would like to apply to be U.S. Cellular Customer Crew Member there was no hesitation and I applied right away. Since I was already spreading the love for U.S Cellular and also one of the “Happiest Customers in Wireless”, I was very excited about this opportunity because it was something I already enjoyed doing because of my love for this company.

Now if you are already a U.S. Cellular customer and you also feel the passion for “Spreading the U.S. Cellular Love”, then check out the Customer Crew Web site and apply today. You can also go here to ask any questions about U.S. Cellular and get your reply from a real customer that’s already a Customer Crew Member. https://customercrew.uscellular.com/index.php

Going Bananas at the Zoo

The Virginia Zoo in Norfolk Virginia is located about 50 miles from my home and is one of our favorite places to visit. Although this is a beautiful zoo with many different species of animals, my favorite is the Siamang Monkey.

I’ve been trying to explain to him why I’m a happy U.S. Cellular customer and all the benefits I have with them. Like free incoming calls, text & picture message, mobile to mobile and nights & weekends. That’s right its all free to a U.S. Cellular customer, but that’s not all. You also receive reward points every month that can use to upgrade your phone early or get some really neat accessories. They also have a battery swap program that you can use up to 4 times a year to exchange your old battery for a fresh fully charged one. Also they have the best Customer Service in the business with some of the friendliest employees you will find anywhere.

Great service plans to fit most everyone’s needs along with the best pricing and top of the line cell phones. Now all this is something that we all can go bananas about.

Now I’m not sure that my Siamang Monkey got as excited as I am with U.S. Cellular, but I did notice that his excitement grew when I mentioned bananas.

Way To Go U.S. Cellular

About 6 or 7 weeks ago Samsung announced the upcoming release of their new flagship device the Galaxy S III. Since the Samsung Galaxy S series have been one of the hottest selling Android devices in the market today and even winning the 2011 top award for the Samsung Galaxy II, the excitement for information about the new Galaxy S III release had the cell phone world in a “I can’t wait to see it frenzy”.   And Samsung didn’t let us down! This is a state of the art device that has many added features and several improvements over its popular predecessor the Galaxy S II.

Now here’s the part that has me and many other U.S. Cellular customers so excited “It’s Going To Be Available To Us”!!!!!!!  Not 6 months to a year after it was release to all the major carriers in the USA, but at the same time.

I want to thank U.S. Cellular for all their hard work and effort for making this state of the art device available to their customers. Just another reason why they have the “Happiest Customer’s in Wireless”.

Pre-Order for this “Awesome” device started on U.S. Cellular’s web site on 6/12/2012 and will be shipped in 4 to 6 weeks. So go ahead and order yours today! http://www.uscellular.com/cell-phones/index.html

Happy Father's Day Dad

Although my father passed away many years ago I would like to honor him this Father’s Day for all the great memories that he left to us all that knew him.

My father was a man with great integrity and was a hard working, honest and very well loved by all his family, friends and most everyone that ever met him. He seemed to always have to right words to say to you no matter whatever you might have going on in your live and had a great way of making you feel better about it and yourself. He was not a rich man by the world standards of rich, but he was very rich in the amount of people that loved him and the love he had for others.

With the time that we had together while he was still here he did provide me with some wonderful advice that I will always remember.  The one I consider to be the best was that all people are human with feeling and to always treat everyone with respect and never judge anyone because you haven’t had to live their life or walk in their shoes. Although I have fallen short a few times in my life of following this advice, I have gotten better at it as I’ve got older.

"Happy Father’s Day” Dad!!! Yes I still miss and love you so much and I really believe will be together again one day whenever the Good Lord decides to bring me home.

I have included a picture of my dad and would have liked to have include one of us together, but all the known pictures we had taken together while he was alive was lost in a house fire several years ago.

Lets Tango!

Last week my wife had to go out of town for a few days on a business trip. Although I don’t like it while she away, it’s our 5 year old son who really has a “Big Problem” with it. He is definitely a Mommy’s boy and having Daddy only around just don’t cut it for him.

But we did have something this time that we didn’t have on other occasions while she was away. It was the ability to use our cell phones from U.S. Cellular to video chat. Not only was my son and I able to speak to her every day, but we all could see one another also. Our son had so much fun doing this that he didn’t want to hang up and couldn’t wait till we called her again. And now that’s she’s back home, he continues to want me to call her so he can video chat with her, even if we’re all in the same room.

Yes it’s so wonderful to live in a time that our cell phones can do so much and we do love having video chat available as another option whenever we want to use it.

FYI….My wife has the Samsung Galaxy S Aviator 4G and I have the Samsung Galaxy S II both from U.S. Cellular and we are using the free "Tango" app from the Google Play Store. John~U.S. Cellular Customer Crew Member

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY & Please call your Mom!!!!

As most everyone is aware that this Sunday May 13th is Mothers Day’s and this is much needed day to celebrate and honor all the hard working, loving and caring Mothers. As my wife stated many times over the years to our children, everyday is kid’s day so please let me at least have one day that I can call mine and enjoy. Unfortunately though for her and most mothers they never get a day to truly relax especially when the kid’s are still little. Although we still have a five year old at home which is very hard to keep up with, our other four children are adults and live on their own.

Now two of our Adult kid’s live so far away that they will not be here to celebrate Mother’s Day with her. Although they want be here on Mother’s Day, I’m sure they will be calling her to let her know how much they love her and this will make her day as it always does, just to hear from them and know that they are thinking of her.

Now my loving mother has been deceased for several years and I still miss being able to see her and spending time with her. So I say this to her within my heart “Happy Mother's Day Mom” wish you were still here with us but I know you are still looking over and sending us your love every moment of the day. I love you Mom! :)

So if your mother is still living please try to be with her on this special day and if you can’t, then please give her a call and let her know how much you love her. I know that with our U.S. Cellular plan that all incoming, mobile to mobile and nights and weekend calling is free. So if you already have service with them the call will be free, but the joy you will be giving your mother when you call will be “Priceless”!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all Mother’s and I hope this day is special and blessed for you all. John~U.S. Cellular Customer Crew Member

The following is a picture of my wonderful and loving Mother taken with me while she was still here with us.

My Wish List

One of the devices I currently have on my “Want List” is the U.S. Cellular’s 4G LTE Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. I did get the chance to test this amazing tablet out at my local U.S. Cellular retail store and it would be everything I could possible need in a tablet. With the super fast 4G LTE networking data plan on this device I’m sure I can be more productive with this Galaxy Tab. I could eliminate many of my paper files and convert them to data files to store on this tablet; and have them whenever and wherever I may need them I also would be able to most of the things I currently use a laptop for and eliminate the need to carry that bulky thing around. With the super light and thin design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 would be a breeze to carry it with me wherever I go.
From all this…

To This….

Maybe I can save enough here soon to be able to get this amazing device and take it off my “Want List”! Also my Birthday is this month and maybe I will get lucky; you never know Hint! Hint! Hint!

Very, Very, Very Thankful

Last week my wife and 5 year old son were involved in an auto accident while she was driving home after picking up our son from daycare. My wife had some neck and shoulder injuries and our son was ok except for the emotional fear of being in an accident. This was the first time he was ever involved in anything this scary and it may take awhile before he feels at easy while riding in a car again.
The other driver was not injured but was charged with a DUI and for causing the accident. It was 5:30pm in the evening and this lady was very drunk and blew a .25.

I am very, very, very thankful that my wife and son were not more seriously injured or even kill by this drunk driver. “SO PLEASE DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE”!

Now I was 60 miles away working when my wife called me right after the accident occurred and you can imagine how I felt not being there with them and seeing for myself how they were. I immediately stop what I was doing and headed to be with them and to assure me that they would be ok; my wife took a picture of her and our son with her Android phone and sent it to me. Yes the old saying is true that “A picture is better than a thousand words” because it did easy some of the stress I was having by just seeing their faces.
Again I thank God for taking care of my family through this and I also want to thank U.S. Cellular for their great coverage they provide in our area. I am so glad that my wife had her cell phone and was able to call me on mine right after the accident occurred. This was just another reminder to me of how important and wonderful our cell phones can be and to be living in an age where we have this technology.

Music Man

While my business has me on the road and traveling quite a bit, the one thing that makes it much more pleasurable is my music. Using Google Play Music app on my Android phone from U.S. Cellular has all my 700+ songs at my finger tips. Just using an audio cable plugged into phone’s headphone jack and into my car stereo system delivers awesome sound quality. Also if I get a call it will stop the music to answer it and start back after I’m finished.

Another nice thing about Google Play Music is all your music is store on their online servers and it is streamed to your phone. That eliminates using up your phones memory storage. They also offer a lot of free music or you can purchase your favorite songs or albums and it will be added instantly to your music play list. All this is done through your Google Android account. This is just another reason (and there is many, many more) why I love my U.S. Cellular Android phone.

Well it’s about time for me to hit the road with my Android phone in hand and shortly I will become the “Music Man” while I travel.  John ~ U.S. Cellular Customer Crew Member

Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time in the land of poor cell phone reception and high priced plans, there lived a very unhappy customer.

As this unhappy customer would roam throughout the land, he would continue to find himself in areas that had very poor cell phone reception or no signal at all. This unhappy customer would often think to himself, why am I paying these high prices every month only to not have cell phone reception when I need it. Also why I’m I paying high roaming charges every month for the service I do get.

These questions’s was left unanswered for many years until the unhappy customer was on his journey and stopped by a local merchant that had become an agent for U.S. Cellular. The friendly merchant told the unhappy customer about the great signal that U.S. Cellular had in the area and about their low priced plans. He also explained to the unhappy customer about the nationwide plan with no roaming charges and the 30 day trial period to check it out. So the unhappy customer decided to give U.S. Cellular a try and let the merchant sign him up for service.

Now after only a few days of having service with U.S. Cellular the unhappy customer knew he had something really special. Now he was getting very good reception wherever he journeyed and without any additional roaming charges. Also whenever he had a question or problem, he could contact U.S. Cellular and they would always provide the very best customer service.

Now the unhappy customer was a very “Happy” U.S. Cellular Customer and has lived “Happily Ever After”!

Home Sweet Home

While taking a trip away from home can sometimes be really fun and exciting, as I get older it seems that I get home sick much quicker. In my lifetime I’ve had to do my fair share of traveling, mostly for business reason but also for visiting friends and family or mere pleasure. It does seems that the more I’ve traveled and been away from home, the less exciting it becomes and the more I find myself wanting to just stay closer to home.

I’m sure there are many others that feels the same way and knows what I’m talking about, but I do have something that makes  me feel a little closer to home while I’m away. It’s my Smartphone from U.S. Cellular. Now wherever I go it is always with me and I can stay in touch in more ways than just talking on the phone. I can keep up with what’s happening at home like the current news & weather, all my social media friends, check my email and find places quick with the build in navigations. Yes my Smartphone makes me feel a little closer to home even when I’m far away, and I’m so glad that I live in a time when all this great technology is available to carry with me wherever I go.

Now I still do get a little home sick while I’m away, but thanks to my U.S. Cellular Smartphone I always feel much closer till I’m “Home Sweet Home” again!

A Need for Speed

As far back as I can remember I’ve always wanted things to go faster. I’m the kind of person that will stand in front of the microwave oven and holler “Hurry Up”! Even when I was a little boy I would try to ride my tricycle as fast as I could get it to go. When I graduated to a bicycle I was always trying to do things to it to get it to go a little faster. I did get it to go a little faster but it did cause me a problem when I hit a bump in the road that sent me sailing into a mailbox. That extra speed did cost me 8 stitches and a whole lot of pain. Now when I was 16 and got my driving license, the need to go a little faster was still in my blood and I ended up getting a speeding ticket within the first month. Again this caused me problems like my parents getting very upset (MAD as HE##) and also the pain of having to spend my money to pay for the ticket. I did learn my lesson well with that episode in my life and I haven’t gotten another ticket since. (Knock on Wood)!

With all that being said I still have a desire for things to be fast. Maybe not as much for things you ride on, but for other things like my cell phone. I am a very techie type guy and I want my electronic devices to do things fast. I have to say that the desire for a very fast cell phone was satisfied last week when I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy 2 from U.S. Cellular. This phone is extremely fast with a dual processor it will run a 3800 + quadrant score right out of the box. Now comparing this to the Samsung Galaxy Mesmerize I had (which I thought was fast), it would only do around 900 quadrants out of the box. That’s over 4 times faster “WOW”! Also I have to include that the Samsung Galaxy 2 is not only very fast, but it is also very smooth. Everything I’ve done on it so far, it has done it quick and smooth without the lag that I sometimes experienced with the Mesmerize.

Ok there you have it! I’ve had some good and bad experiences in my life trying to satisfy my “Need for Speed”, but thanks to Samsung Galaxy 2 and U.S. Cellular, my desire for a super fast cell phone has been satisfied “For Now”!

Man…..I wish the microwave oven would hurry up! “I’m Hungry”!!!!!!

Something to Depend On

It seems like in this fast paced world we all live in and how busy life is for most of us; it seems like there is less and less that we can really depend on. That’s right, with the way the economy been over the last several years it really hard to budget our expenses month to month.

Let’s take fuel and electrical price increases that we all have had over the last few years. Can any of us depend that they will not increase rapidly over the next few years, or even the next few months. Now these two things alone affect so many other things you will no longer be able to depend on, like food, clothes and most all other consumer prices. Most every company or business will need to adjust their prices to offset their cost to do business.

Now with that being said, all hope for something you can depend on is not lost; take for example my cell phone provider U.S. Cellular. I have been a customer with them for eight years now and I must say that there are many things with them I can depend on. Although U.S. Cellular has to deal with all the same cost of doing business as other company’s do, they are always looking for ways to keep their customers happy. Yes with U.S. Cellular I can always depend on great customer service, very competitive pricing, nationwide coverage along with a company that’s always looking for way to make their customer’s the “Happiest Customers in Wireless” along with ways to improve their experience with their company.

Yes there are not as many things today that we can really depend on, but as a U.S. Cellular customer I believe I can depend on them to continue to look for ways to keep me and all their customers “Happy”!

Old Dogs Can Learn New Tricks

We all heard that saying “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks” and I sure that this applies to many things that our bodies will just not allow us to do anymore as we get up in age. But there are some things that this younger generation has been doing for awhile that us older adults “can” learn to do and it fit right into our everyday life.
No I’m not talking about running a 100 mile marathon, start mountain climbing, bungee jumping  or trying to get by on one hour sleep a night, but something that many teenager’s have been doing for several years now. It’s texting, that’s right texting!

Now going back a few years ago when I still had a couple of teenagers living at home and I got them cell phones, the first thing they wanted was to text. Now mind you this was a “Phone” and they wanted to “Text” because all there friend’s was doing it. I just scratched my head then about this strong desire they had for texting and thought to myself “Teenagers” give them something they can make calls on and they want it mainly for texting, GO FIGURE!!!!!
Then as time went by I started to receive some texts message from my family and friends and I thought are they trying to act like a teenager’s. Now I did start trying to reply to some of those texts, and again I will say tried because I had a hard time using the number keypad to spell words on the Moto Razr I had at the time. But when I became eligible for an upgrade with U.S. Cellular I got a Moto Q Smartphone that had a keypad that had numbers and “LETTERS”. So I was now able to reply and send text messages with ease.

Since then I have upgraded my phone again with U.S. Cellular to an Android Smartphone which makes texting even simpler because you can now speak your text. That’s right, you can just say it and send it if you don’t want to take the time to type it. Now how cool is that!
Although I now send and receive several text and picture messages a month, I will have to admit that I still don’t come anywhere close to the amount my teenagers would do monthly. But I have to say that I do enjoy texting and being able to send a picture message. I do still talk on the phone but having this option of texting is something that has become a part of daily life style now.

So I give Thanks to all the teenagers for leading the way in this new form of communication and teaching this older dog a new trick.
Ok, for the next new trick for me to learn…How about Bungee Jumping….NOT!!!!!  lol

Out with the Old & In with the New

Long, Long, Long ago….Not really but it does seems awhile since I was using a standard flip cell phone that could only make calls and send texts. But now I would be lost (At least I think I might) if I didn’t have my handy dandy do it all Android Smartphone. How quickly we get use to having to have something and feel we just can’t function without it.
Now my first Smartphone was a Motorola Moto Q that I got from U.S. Cellular and I was upgrading to it from a Motorola Razr. The Moto Razr was a really nice phone but the Moto Q was light years ahead because now I could do more. I now had a mini computer in my pocket that would not only let me make calls and send text, now I had the internet in my pocket wherever I went. I could now read/send e-mail, read the current news and have my social media like Facebook and Tweeter available to me while on the go.

Life was good but technology continue to advance and then comes the all powerful Android Smartphone’s that makes the Moto Q look like an old slow worn out child’s toy. So I had to have one and went down to my local US Cellular store and bought the Samsung Galaxy S Mesmerize.
Now life was not only good, now it was GREAT! This phone would do it all and it was super fast in doing it. It was not only a workhorse, it was the kind of toy that us big boy’s like and must have to stay in the know.

But time goes by and as the tech world continues to advance, I now find myself waiting for the latest and greatest next Android release to satisfy my hunger for more.  But the wait is almost over with the release of the Samsung Galaxy II.

The Wait Is Almost Over!

That's right, U.S. Cellular has announced that the Samsung GalaxyII will be released soon. The rumor of this power house top of the line Android coming to U.S.Cellular has been going on for a few month and now that the release has been confirmed, many posted thier excitement on many of the online social and media networks. This news is surely making a lot of thier happy customer's even happier.

Also U.S. Cellular is about to launch thier 4G LTE network first part of April of this year and it seems that good news from them keeps coming.

It really is an exciting time to be a U.S.Cellular customer and I believe we will continue to see many more exciting things coming in the future. No wonder that they have some of most "Happiest Customer's" in wireless.

Yes I've been a very happy customer with U.S.Cellular for many years and also a proud member of the U.S.Cellular Customer Crew Team.
