Very, Very, Very Thankful

Last week my wife and 5 year old son were involved in an auto accident while she was driving home after picking up our son from daycare. My wife had some neck and shoulder injuries and our son was ok except for the emotional fear of being in an accident. This was the first time he was ever involved in anything this scary and it may take awhile before he feels at easy while riding in a car again.
The other driver was not injured but was charged with a DUI and for causing the accident. It was 5:30pm in the evening and this lady was very drunk and blew a .25.

I am very, very, very thankful that my wife and son were not more seriously injured or even kill by this drunk driver. “SO PLEASE DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE”!

Now I was 60 miles away working when my wife called me right after the accident occurred and you can imagine how I felt not being there with them and seeing for myself how they were. I immediately stop what I was doing and headed to be with them and to assure me that they would be ok; my wife took a picture of her and our son with her Android phone and sent it to me. Yes the old saying is true that “A picture is better than a thousand words” because it did easy some of the stress I was having by just seeing their faces.
Again I thank God for taking care of my family through this and I also want to thank U.S. Cellular for their great coverage they provide in our area. I am so glad that my wife had her cell phone and was able to call me on mine right after the accident occurred. This was just another reminder to me of how important and wonderful our cell phones can be and to be living in an age where we have this technology.
